About Us

Widala Travel - Cheetah

Our Philosophy: At Widala, we don’t believe in “cookie-cutter” tourism. We are a Tanzanian-based team that listens first. We believe that for a foreigner, the best trip is one where the logistics are invisible, and the experience is immersive.

Why we exist: Every journey starts with curiosity. We exist to bridge the gap between a vague desire to see Africa and a perfectly executed, safe, and soul-stirring itinerary.

Our Promise: To provide efficient, safe, and value-oriented travel through deep local networks and a commitment to service excellence.

Sample Itinerary: 12 Days Tanzania Safari

This 12 days Tanzania Safari is our best-seller! If you want to see the three most beautiful parks in northern Tanzania, our 12-day safari is the perfect option. You will start your safari in the kingdom of the elephants, Tarangire National Park. Visit the famous Serengeti, home to an abundance of wildlife as well as the impressive wildebeest migration, then the striking Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder with the world’s highest concentration wildlife and you’ll fly to the spice island Zanzibar.

This private safari offers you the flexibility to travel at your own pace, exactly the way you like it. You will have a private/group safari vehicle and guide.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
As you walk out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Widala limited guide greets you with a big smile: ‘Karibu Tanzania – welcome to Tanzania!’ The guide takes you straight to your hotel, where you can relax and take in the African atmosphere. The next day your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your own safari jeep and take the liberty to stop and watch the animals as long as you like!
Tarangire National Park is well known for its big groups of elephants and the huge amount of giant baobab trees. These trees can live for hundreds of years and are actually a source of water for elephants in the dry season as they have a special technique to draw water from them. Besides, the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the dry season, which is why in this season in Tarangire you can see groups of up to 250 elephants next to many more animals!
Serengeti National Park is widely known as the place to go on safari, mainly because of the Great Migration that passes through here. The enormous, stampeding herds are impressive, as are the vast amount of predators that live here: over four thousand lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas and hundreds of wild dogs! And of course, plenty of other beautiful animals, which your guide will be delighted to search for together with you. Are you ready for this?
The famous Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s seven natural wonders. The crater was formed two million years ago when a vast volcano erupted. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem, now home to the highest concentration of animals found anywhere in Africa! Once in the crater, thousands of animals such as lions, zebras, buffalos and black rhinos surround you, and the views are astounding – you won’t know where to look!

Swap the golden plains for turquoise waters. After a final morning in the bush, take a scenic flight across the Great Rift Valley to the spice island of Zanzibar. Transition from the thrill of the safari to the tranquility of the Indian Ocean, arriving in time for a sunset dinner on the beach.

Zanzibar might be one of the best beach honeymoon destinations of the worlds beautiful white sandy beaches and coral reefs, comfortable accommodations, and transparent blue sea, like in the movies.

  • The Spice Island Experience: Immerse yourself in the aromas of the archipelago with a guided Spice Tour. Wander through local plantations to discover how cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon are grown, and sample exotic tropical fruits straight from the source.
  • Stone Town & Prison Island: Step back in time with a walk through the winding alleys of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. From there, take a short boat ride to Prison Island to meet the resident giant tortoises and explore the island’s storied history.
  • Sun-Drenched Relaxation: Conclude your journey with uninterrupted time on Zanzibar’s world-famous beaches. Whether you choose to dive into the turquoise Indian Ocean or simply relax under a palm tree, we ensure a seamless blend of cultural discovery and total tranquility.
Savor one last tropical breakfast overlooking the Indian Ocean before your private transfer to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ). As you depart from the modern Terminal 3, take a final look at the turquoise archipelago from above. Whether you’re heading home or to your next destination, you’ll carry the spirit of Akuna Matata and the unforgettable memories of Tanzania with you. Safe travels, and Karibu Tena—you are always welcome back.

Testimonials

"This summer we had the pleasure of going on safari with Widala Tours and Safari. It was an unforgettable trip, which included two parks; Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater. I liked that we were able to experience different terrains in the two parks, and we were able to see such a variety of animals. When we first arrived we were greeted by a troop of baboons and lots of monkeys. For lunch we had a picnic and there was a herd of elephants with a baby walking below the picnic area. We also saw many giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, warthogs, hyenas, ostriches, birds, lions, rhinos, gazelles, jackals, cape buffaloes, lots of hippos, and so much more. The following day we had lunch by the hippo pool. There was a mamma hippo and her baby swimming around. It was incredible to see the mamma hippo open her huge mouth and eat a giant chunk of grass. It was such a great experience to see all the animals in their natural habitat. Our guides were so knowledgeable about all the animals and were able to locate them and tell us about them. Thank you Widala tours for an unforgettable experience."

"Victor and everyone at Widala Tours was extremely accommodating from our first inquiry through the completion of our safari. Our trip to Tanzania was packed full of activities and places to be. We knew we really wanted to go on a safari but time did not permit for a 10 day extravagant booking. Victor understood this and created a customized itinerary that fit our schedule and our budget. He knew the best parks for us to visit to see the most amazing animals on our safari. He arrived with his team when they picked us up in Arusha to ensure that our safari began flawlessly and he stopped by our hotel after the safari to make sure that we were satisfied with our trip. We could not have been happier with the amazing service that was provided by Widala Tours!"
